Common Ground Canine is a registered Public Benevolent Institution supporting people experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, financial hardship and other life challenges.
Through emergency dog care, welfare services and practical support, we help people navigate difficult circumstances without losing the companionship of their dog.
What your support makes possible
$60 = One Day of Safety
Provides one day of safe care, accommodation and support for a dog while their human navigates homelessness, domestic violence, housing instability or crisis.
$85 = A Welfare Groom
Provides a welfare grooming service for a dog whose human is experiencing hardship. A clean, healthy dog can help reduce barriers to accessing accomodation, support services and community spaces.
$500 = One Week of Safety
Provides a full week of emergency care, accomodation, and food for a dog while their human works towards stability, housing, and/or safety.
Custom Donation = Helping Dogs and Humans in Crisis
Every contribution helps us provide practical support that protects the bond between people and their pets during difficult times.
Why this matters
For many people experiencing hardship, a dog is more than a pet.
They are family.
They provide companionship, routine, emotional support and a reason to keep moving forward during some of life's most difficult moments.
Yet many crisis services cannot accommodate pets.
This can leave people facing impossible choices between seeking help and staying with the animal they love.
Common Ground Canine was created to help bridge that gap.
As a registered charity and social enterprise, we use dog care services to support benevolent outcomes for people in our community.

Income generated through our dog daycare, dog motel, dog grooming and dog training services helps support our charitable activities.
